Abuse & Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

URLcut.ai provides a URL shortening service intended for legitimate content sharing, marketing, and productivity use. Abuse of the platform is strictly prohibited.

2. Prohibited Activities

Links created with URLcut.ai may not involve any of the following:

  • Phishing, fraud, or impersonation
  • Misleading links intended to steal credentials or personal data
  • Impersonating banks, financial institutions, brands, or individuals
  • Impersonating government agencies, healthcare services, or other public institutions
  • Deceptive login, account update, or payment pages
  • Malware, spyware, or malicious payload distribution
  • Delivering unauthorized remote-access software
  • Redirect cloaking or nested redirect abuse
  • Chaining a link through other URL shorteners or proxies to conceal a prohibited destination
  • Spam, scam campaigns, or deceptive SMS/email traffic
  • Unlicensed or illegal gambling or betting: promoting or directing to gambling, casino, or betting services that are unlicensed in, or targeted at users in, jurisdictions where they are prohibited
  • Pornographic or other adult sexual content
  • Circumventing security or access controls
  • Any illegal activity under applicable laws

Legitimate affiliate and referral links used solely for commission tracking are permitted. What is prohibited is concealing a malicious or otherwise prohibited destination, or chaining a link through multiple shorteners to obscure where it leads.

3. User Responsibility

All shortened URLs and slugs are user-generated. Users are solely responsible for the content they create and distribute using URLcut.ai.

4. Monitoring & Enforcement

To protect users and third parties, URLcut.ai may:

  • Monitor link creation and usage patterns
  • Automatically block or remove suspicious URLs
  • Suspend or terminate accounts involved in abusive behavior
  • Disable access without prior notice in severe cases

5. Abuse Reporting

Reported content is reviewed promptly, and confirmed abuse is removed as quickly as possible.

6. Cooperation with Authorities & Providers

URLcut.ai cooperates with:

  • Domain registrars
  • Hosting providers
  • Law enforcement agencies

when legally required or when investigating abuse reports.

7. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated at any time to reflect new threats, legal requirements, or operational needs.
