Do I need to create an account?
Yes, a free account is required to create and manage links. This allows you to track analytics, edit links, and access your link history. Sign up takes 30 seconds.

How accurate are the AI suggestions?
AI suggestions are highly relevant when you provide good context. The AI analyzes your URL structure, page content (Pro), title, and description to generate meaningful slugs. You always have final control to accept, modify, or create your own.
Should I add a title and description?
Yes! Adding context dramatically improves AI suggestions. A good title (up to 60 characters) and description (up to 160 characters) help the AI understand your content and generate more relevant slug options.
Can I create custom slugs without AI?
Absolutely! Enter your own custom slug directly, or use AI suggestions as a starting point and modify them. AI assists, but you're always in control. Try our custom link creator.
How does AI page content analysis work?
Pro users get automatic page content analysis. When you paste a URL, our AI fetches and analyzes the page's title, meta description, and content to generate highly relevant slug suggestions without you needing to manually add context.
How many AI suggestions do I get?
Free tier: 10 AI suggestion requests per month. Pro tier: Unlimited AI suggestions. Each request generates 10 slug options to choose from.

Will my Pro price ever increase?
No. Early adopters who sign up now at $12/month lock in that price forever, even when we raise prices to $25/month later. Your rate never increases as long as you stay subscribed.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, cancel anytime from Account Settings. Your paid benefits continue until the billing period ends, then you revert to the free tier. Every link you've published keeps working, permanently, and your click history is kept: analytics narrow to the free tier's 14-day window and the full history comes back if you upgrade.
Is URLcut.ai really free?
Yes! The free tier is genuinely free forever - 10 links per month with click analytics, AI suggestions, and QR codes. Links never expire. No credit card required. Not a trial.

Do you offer annual billing?
Yes! Pay annually at $10/month ($120/year) and save $24 compared to monthly billing. You still lock in the early adopter rate.
Who owns the links my team creates?
Your workspace does. On the Agency plan a link belongs to the workspace it was filed into, not to the person who created it, so work done for a client stays with that client. Every link still shows who created it, and that authorship never changes.
What happens to a teammate's links when they leave?
Nothing. Removing someone from the workspace revokes their access immediately and touches none of their work. Every link they created keeps working, stays in its folders, and keeps counting towards your reports. Their seat is freed for the next person.
Do my teammates get the same analytics I pay for?
Yes. Analytics depth on workspace data comes from the workspace owner's plan, not from each teammate's own plan, so all 5 seats see the same retention window, breakdowns and AI insights. Personal allowances stay personal: how many links each person can create per month is governed by their own account.
How many seats does the Agency plan include?
5 seats: you plus 4 teammates. Every person with access counts, including pending invites and anyone invited to just a single client folder. Removing someone frees their seat straight away. Talk to us if you need more.
Links & QR Codes
Do links expire?
Not unless you ask them to. Every URLcut.ai link is created with expiry set to Never, on both Free and Pro, and nothing expires it for you. If you do want a temporary link, you can set it to expire after 7, 14, 30, or 90 days yourself. See link expiration, or how other shorteners handle it.
Can I edit a link after creating it?
Yes! You can edit the destination URL, expiration date, password protection, tags, and active status anytime. The short URL slug remains the same to preserve your shared links.
What's the interstitial page on free links?
Free tier links show a brief 3-second branded page before redirecting. This helps support our free tier. Pro users get instant redirects with no interstitial.
Can I customize QR codes?
Free tier: Basic black and white QR codes. Pro tier: Custom colors, add your logo, and download in multiple formats (PNG, SVG). QR codes link directly to your short URL.
How does password protection work?
Add a password to any link. Visitors must enter the password before being redirected. Great for private content, exclusive offers, or limited-access resources.
What analytics data can I track?
Track total clicks, unique visitors, devices (desktop/mobile/tablet), browsers, operating systems, geographic locations, referrers, and clicks over time. All analytics update in real-time.
How long is analytics data stored?
Free tier: 14 days of detailed analytics history. Pro tier: Permanent analytics retention - your data is stored forever.
Can I send visitors to different links by device or country?
Yes, on Pro. With device and geo targeting, one short link can route iOS visitors to the App Store, Android to Google Play, and a country like the US to its own page, with your base URL as the fallback for everyone else. Bots and link previews always get the base URL.
Can I use URLcut.ai for marketing campaigns?

Your Campaigns page shows a folder view of every client, brand, and campaign, so the structure matches how you run the work. Basic includes 1 client and 1 brand, and Pro unlocks unlimited clients and brands.
Does URLcut report on all my campaigns for one client together?
Yes. Clicks roll up from campaign to brand to client, so you can open a report at any level. A client report totals every campaign you run for that client, with the same channel breakdown, daily trend, and geographic click map you get on a single campaign.
Which plan do I need to organize by client and brand?

Is URLcut.ai secure?
Yes! We use HTTPS everywhere, encrypt data in transit and at rest, hash passwords with BCrypt, and follow security best practices. We don't sell or share your data.
How fast are the redirects?
URLcut.ai uses Redis caching for instant lookups. Average redirect time is under 50ms. We maintain 99.9% uptime with global CDN distribution.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Go to Pricing, choose Basic or Pro, and complete secure checkout through LemonSqueezy. Start using paid features immediately after checkout.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Contact us through the contact page to request account deletion. All your data will be permanently removed.
Do you support custom domains?
Yes. Custom domains (go.yourbrand.com/summer-sale) are available on Pro, and branded urlcut.ai subdomains (yourbrand.urlcut.ai) start on Basic. Subdomains go live the moment you claim them with no DNS setup, and HTTPS is automatic on every link. Learn more about custom domains.
